National Forum Gathering

Forum Against “Hate Crimes” was initiated by Social Change Association in order to facilitate the process of forming a platform against “Hate Crimes”.
During the two-day long event representatives from human rights organisations and civil society organisations that are founded by minority groups discussed the legal, social and cultural background that leads to hate crimes. The civil society organisations also shared their concerns on the recent political and socio-cultural atmosphere in Turkey. The representatives also agreed upon the need for a joint work against hate crimes.
The participant list of the National Forum against “Hate Crimes” includes Social Change Association, Human Rights Agenda Association, Human Rights Research Association, International Hrant Dink Foundation, Positive Living Association, Pink Life Association, Edirne Roma People Association, Association in Solidarity with IDPs, Young Society Initiative, Minority Rights Group, OSCE ODIHR, Global Dialogue, and Delegation of the EU to Turkey-EIDHR.
The national gathering against hate crimes became possible by EU EIDHR funding.
